Module description
In this module you will find a random rumour generator. Rumours are used to create greater immersion in roleplaying games, as they can lead to interesting side quests that add life and richness to the world. These rumours are meant to be improvised, whether they are true or not depends on the Game Master and how they plan to incorporate them into their story. These rumours may not seem to have any bearing on your main plot but with a little skill you can easily spin them.
Rumours are propositions designed to be believed, and are passed from person to person by word of mouth. There are usually insufficient facts to verify their veracity, so they are easily manipulated and often have very specific hidden agendas. It is the most traditional and widely used form of spreading information and the source is usually anonymous. Unlike news, which is usually real and objective, rumours are subjective and can be true, false, half true or manipulated to the contrary.
Part of the database used for these news is the intellectual property of Ben (Orkish Blade). We thank him for his express permission for this project. If you want to know all the credits of this post with the thanks for his authorisations and inspirational content click Here. Thanks also to Ross Hollander for his permission for his content in the rumours.
How does this module work?
